Model and scientific context

The brown algae Ectocarpus subulatus Ectocarpus subulatus (Kützing), is a small filamentous brown alga characterized by its high stress-tolerance, in particular towards low salinities. Its genome has recently been sequenced by a consortium led by the Station Biologique de Roscoff and this website contains additional information and resources regarding this genome project.
